The Wheat Flour Incident
On Wednesday, I have physical therapy appointments in the mornings. I need to get Landon out the door pretty early. While I was getting things ready this past Wednesday, Landon found the canisters of flour in the pantry and decided to dump one out on the floor. With just enough time to wipe him off and run out the door, I decided to just clean it up once I got home.
Once home from work, I placed Landon as far away from the flour pile as possible, raced into the kitchen, and swept up as much of it as I could. Then I remembered that it was trash day, that the trash can was outside because something had spilled in the bottom, and I didn't have a trash bag close. Ah hah! A grocery bag was on the counter. I grabbed it and dumped the dustpan full of flour into the bag, only to watch it all fall on the floor again. There was a huge hole in the bag! By this time, Landon was all over in the flour, sliding across the floor in it, picking it up and throwing it, everything! Ah! Once I found a bag without holes, he sat down right in the middle of the biggest pile and wouldn't get up. In the end, the flour made it into the trash and I cleaned up Landon, but it was one of those times when you just have to laugh, and almost give up at the hilarity that is being a mom of a very busy toddler.

HAHAHAHA! Peter did that with cornstarch earlier this week. It was only a small bit, but it was right before we were supposed to have company. I put him in his high chair with a piece of bread while I cleaned it up. Turns out he loves eating slices of bread, so he was happy.
